Cedar Island Marina has won the Marinas.com "Elite Fleet" Award for 2022. Along with some of the other top marinas nationwide, this award puts Cedar Island Marina into a small class of marinas that are ranked the best in the country. This award is based on reviews of customers and transients that have stayed at each marina - most of them are verified. While Marinas.com has expanded the amount of marinas that have won this award since it began in 2018 where Cedar Island Marina was ranked amongst the top 21 marinas, there are still only few marinas in Connecticut that receive this award as its a national ranking.

Marinas.com has awarded Cedar Island Marina with the 2020 Boaters' Choice Award. This award is given to only the highest rated marinas and boat yard's in the United States. Only a few of the best marinas in Connecticut were selected and we are honored to be among them. Marinas.com also runs Dockwa, which is the leading transient reservation system in the world. 

For the third year in a row, the New Haven Register has awared Cedar Island Marina with their "Best of Marinas" award in the Connecticut Shoreline. 

Cedar Island Marina is honored to receive the Marinas.com 2019 Boaters’ Choice Award - Elite Fleet Winner. This year the award marked the top 0.6% of marinas in the United States. We are proud to be considered in this category of Elite Marinas.

We are building a new 7,650 sq ft indoor storage and repair facility to compliment our current building. This new building has an estimated completion date of Dec 1^st, 2019, just in time to service customers for this winter! We are also going to be dredging this winter in the marina basin. The dredging will start in late November and will be completed in early February. MLW depths for boats over 32’ will be between 7.5’-8’.

We were honored to receive Marinas.com "Elite Fleet" award. Only 20 other marinas in the United States got this award, which puts us in the top .2% of best marinas in the United States. Our belief is that we got this award because of the great customers we have, which makes the culture at our marina an enjoyable place to be. Thank you all.

We have officially opened our Doggy Park, the newest amenity at Cedar Island Marina. The park provides areas for dogs to relax and enjoy themselves in an unleashed environment. It is located between our Brokerage Building and our Lounge Room Heads.

We have officially begun a full upgrade of our WiFi and DirecTV. Our new WiFi will feature speeds up to 3x faster than the old system and is capable of 5ghz connectivity. WiFi comes included for all customers and will be able to reach every slip.

The DirecTV upgrade will expand the amount of channels we have in addition to upgrading the quality to HD. DirecTV is included on docks G-K and the 40’ fingers on F dock. Both upgrades should be fully completed by May 1^st.

We are excited to announce that the Clinton Fireworks is back on for this summer. It will be held on Saturday, August 25th. Save The Date! It is always a fantastic time and a great show!

As the 2017 boating season draws to a close, we would like to thank all of our customers for one of the best seasons we have ever had! This season was the busiest in over a decade, which shows us that local boating is alive and well. We look forward to seeing everyone next Spring. Meanwhile, our Service Department remains available for painting, mechanical repair, or any other need that you may have.

CIM is going tropical this summer  Thanks to Carmine Patrizzio who brought 9 palm trees up from Georgia and is bringing them back down in the fall!

The Clinton Harbor Pumpout Boat, operated by Cedar Island Marina, begins next weekend starting April 29th. Hours of operation are dependent on the weather. Please call (860)-876-2724 to schedule your free pumpout. 

We are pleased to announce that we have completed the dredging of the marina basin. All 28' fingers and bays have been dredged to 7' MLW, while the 40' fingers and bays have been dredged to 8' MLW. In addition, there are certain slips at the end that have depths of over 10' MLW. Silting is one of the biggest issues for marinas located in Connecticut. At Cedar Island Marina, we dredge every few years to make sure that adequate depth is maintained. 

All Seasonal and Year-Round Boaters, please join us next Sunday for our Annual Boater's Picnic. There will be food, activities for children and adults, music, and much more! The picnic lasts from approximately 12pm-5pm and is our way of saying THANK YOU for such an another amazing summer. We look forward to seeing you all and it looks like we will have a gorgeous Sunday!

We are now taking signups for our Marine Biology Summer Camp! We are in the second year of the program after a very successful first year. The program is small, only 6 children per week. Bedcause of this, it fills up fast and has an incredibly high instrucotr to child ratio. Run by real Marine Biologists, it is a fantastic opporunity to learn and have fun in a beautiful and pristine setting.

After many inquiries, we have decided to sell Memberships (no slip required) for the 2016 season. Space is limited as we want to make sure that there is never an overcrowding issue.

Individual/$475, Family/$1150

If you bring in a new customer we are now offering a finder’s fee of 10% of their 1^st year seasonal slip and/or winter storage fee credited to your account. The old program we had was only winter or seasonal. We have now revised it to 10% of both.

We have had inquiries asking if we will give the new customer some of the credit instead. Our answer to that is that we want to reward our loyal customers. If the existing customer decides to give their friend a cut of their credit then that is their choice, but our reward will go directly to the existing customer.
